August is birthday month for several patrons and friends, so we are inviting all August birthdays to celebrate with us at 1865 Club. This month, host April Kry welcomes the Nashville folk duo, Beck & Call. Becca Bradley and Chris Crump are accomplished musicians on their own and have been performing as a duo since 2022. Kayley Bishop and Lana Scott Beck, both The Voice alums, will be our special guests performing at the break. Make your reservations now for 6:30pm - 7:00pm on RESY (see also the 1865 Club website).

August birthdays (must be 21+ to get in) will get free admission and one free drink from NBS. All other birthdays get free admission and will be given an opportunity to tip the artists generously.

NBS is partnering with Nashville’s independent radio station Lightning 100, FM 100.1, to showcase Christen Ball’s full band Songwriter Night at Living Waters Brewing. Christen has been hosting these free shows for three years. NBS welcomed her as a new artist member this May. Christen is inviting fellow NBS artist, Mitch Grainger, Australia blues/roots artist currenly touring with Randy Houser, to join her. Jenn Bostic and Meagan Allen are also joining Christen.

NBS patrons are stepping up to sponsor the show in partnership with Lightning 100. Larry Florman, on air personality and member of Them Vibes band, is expected to be present to introduce the collaboration with NBS.

Kyndle Wylde is the most recent addition to our NBS artist lineup. She won the CBS Mornings theme competition and was a finalist in Lightning 100’s Music City Mayhem. Kyndle is bringing her full band to the Underdog in East Nashville with Jeff Woods. NBS is sponsoring Kyndle and her band. Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door and seating is limited. Kyndle will go on at 7pm-8pm - let’s pack this out for Kyndle.

Nashville Basement Stage has been invited once again to provide an opener for the Franklin Theatre’s legendary Songwriters Series. Stevenson Everett will be this month’s opener. He is an original NBS Artist member who lately has been writing songs for veterans and children. His catalog is the largest in the NBS lineup and you will hear a few songs that should be on the radio from Stevenson, and then a few #1’s from these legendary songwriters.

Lauren Mascitti and Chris Walters are teaming up to perform their original songs, with Sean ‘Turk’ McNamara, and hall of famer Joe Spivey. Lauren is one of the most in-demand independent artists in Nashville. We are celebrating her recent signing with North Chapel Music with some very special surprise guests. Chris Walters is a legendary piano player/singer-songerwriter/music with the Time Jumpers Band. He is also the former director for Alabama and Barbara Mandrel and a regular at Rudy’s Jazz Club and other venues across Nashville. Joe Spivey is the leader of the Time Jumpers Band and we are honored to have him play with these amazing NBS artists every month.

April welcomes Bri Fletcher and Brailey Lenderman to this month’s NBS Live at 1865 Club. If you have not been, 1865 Club is a velvety speakeasy in midtown. It is perfectly hidden in the basement and around the back of a very chic Airbnb hotel - very much the vibe of Nashville Basement Stage.

One Saturday a month, NBS artist favorite April Kry, hosts other NBS artists, and other talented independent artist guests, for a unique listening experience. The drinks and hors d'oeuvres are special and the sofas and club chairs are as comfy as it gets, but the songs are what makes these shows different. You won’t hear this kind of show on Broadway or in most other venues in town.

The show is free but tips to NBS are encouraged (since we pay the artists). Make your reservations on 1865 Club / RESY system for 6:30-7:30 on Saturday, and arrive early to ensure your reservation is kept. Stay until at least 9 and hang with the artists.

Nashville Basement Stage is sponsoring our first show at The Basement East - East Nashville’s most popular music venue - with Brett Sheroky, Emma Zinck and special guests. This is the show that was moved to the OG Basement when the January ice storms shut down the city. Tickets are only $10 and we would like to sell this one out! Join Nashville Basement Stage favorite, Bonner Black, with touring artist, Walker Burroughs, for our next NBS Live show at Turk’s Lounge! You know Bonner as one of the most unique and entertaining artists in our lineup. She has taken her birdwatching to a new level and incorporates her humor, smarts and passion into everything she does. She is inviting fellow birder, Walker, to join her with Turk and the world famous fiddler, Joe Spivey. Tickets on Eventbrite only $10.

The Franklin Theatre has a monthly Songwriters Series with legendary singer/songwriters. In May, Rafe Van Hoy, Kent Blazy, and Victoria Shaw are featured. They have written amazing songs including multiple #1’s for legendary recording artists.

NBS also will sponsor a show with artist advisors in September 2026. If all goes well, Franklin Theatre has invited NBS to do a takeover of their Songwriters Series in November 2026. This is a big deal for NBS and for our artists. More to come!

If you ever attended a house concert in our basement, this is as close as it comes - but with speciality cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at Nashville’s coolest hidden speakeasy/listening room, 1865 Club. Show starts at 7pm. Doors open at 6pm and show is free but a reservation on 1865 Club site (or Resy app) is required. Reserve for earlier than 7pm and plan to be there by 7pm and stay until 9pm.

Christen Ball is bringing NBS artist April Kry and phenom Kyndle Wylde to her full band, monthly songwriters series at Living Waters Brewing in East Nashville. April welcomes Memphis soul artist, Kyndle Wylde, for our monthly NBS Live show at 1865 Club. Kyndle won the CBS Mornings mixtape promo song contest in 2024. She toured with Postmodern Jukebox and released her self-titled debut EP in 2025. They will be joined by rocker, Christen Ball. NBS returns to The Listening Room Cafe, a truly iconic venue in Nashville and the best place for locals, tourists and groups to experience a Nashville writers round. We are pairing our showstoppers Kayley Bishop and Lauren Mascitti with amazing recording artist, Ryan Kinder, and special guest Chris Walters on keys. This is a big one ya’ll - so big we had to move it to a Thursday. Peytan Porter and Aaron Raitiere have played stadiums with Tim McGraw, Ella Langley and ‘others'. Peytan’s “Therapy” and “Queen of Apalachia” are crushers. Aaron (Go Turtles) has won a Grammy for his songs on “A Star is Born” and swept last years CMAs in almost all song categories for “You Look Like You Love Me”. They will be accompanied by the amazing hall of famer, Joe Spivey and Turk McNamara will join the round!

Join NBS favorite Bonner Black at her song release show for Honest Woman at the Bowery Vault in East Nashville. This is the first song of an EP release and tour planned later in the year, that NBS is sponsoring. Bonner is a one-of-a-kind, smart/singer/songwriter/birdwatcher/humorist - you just gotta get to know her.

NBS Live is hosting a special private/public event at 1865 Club on our normal first Saturday here, with host April Kry, Kayley Bishop and the amazing Chris Walters. This one is special because we are celebrating Kayley Bishop’s live album release Little Dove - LIve from Nashville (following the release of her single, Beyond the Blue).

The club will be closed to the public and open to patrons and invited guests of NBS and the artists. Invitations will be sent the week of February 9. If you would like to attend and have not received an invitation by Valentines Day, please contact nbs@nashvillebasementstage.com.

Brett brings his full band and some special guests to The Basement - UPDATE 1/30: DUE TO ICE STORM, POWER OUTAGE - THIS SHOW HAS BEEN MOVED FROM BASEMENT EAST TO THE OG BASEMENT ON 8TH STREET. This venue (East) is one of Nashville’s most iconic music locations - demolished by the tornado in 2020 and reopened even better. Get your tickets starting Fri, Nov 14 at noon for only $12 (plus fee) or a special table seat for a little more (very limited).

The 2020 tornado was one of the reasons we started NBS - to give artists a place to play while things were opening back up.

April invites hit songwriter Tia Sillers to 1865 Club for an intimate songwriters night. Tia won a Grammy for ‘I Hope You Dance’ by Lee Ann Womack and ‘There’s Your Trouble’ by the Dixie Chicks. Also appearing will be special guest Sean Oliu. Free show a VIP seating package are available for those making advance tips and donations.
